Zoe Valentine-Bird
Zoe trained at Laine Theatre Arts & The Royal Academy of Dance.
With over 30 years experience in teaching, she has taught pupils at all age groups and takes great pride in their achievements. Notably, Principal dancers in both Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet, West End & UK tour performers, King’s coronation concert, Backing dancers for Dua Lipa, Kylie, Take That, Cheryl Cole, Girls Aloud, Dancing on Ice, films such as Harry Potter, Disney’s Dumbo, Cats. Singers in X factor & The Voice, International performers appearing on Cruise Ships, Moulin Rouge, Paris.
Zoe’s early career saw her touring in musicals Annie & Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Bugsy Malone at Her Majesty’s, regional theatre credits King & I, My Fair Lady, Sound of Music plus numerous pantomimes. She also appeared in several TV adverts, children’s programmes, Monty Python Film ‘The Meaning of Life’ and vocalist for many concerts and corporate events.
During 20 years of running her own successful school she produced and directed shows for hundreds of students, choreographed for local theatre companies and entered dancers into festivals and competitions. Zoe has also mentored teachers through R.A.D. teacher training and N.A.T.D. associates. A number of ex-pupils now teach and several have their own dance studios as far as Canada, Sweden & Australia.
Zoe believes that dance should be accessible to all and has enjoyed working on performing arts projects for adults with learning disabilities and the elderly. It is with great joy that she continues to share her extensive knowledge and experience with young people, encouraging confidence, self-discipline and a positive attitude. These life skills plus Zoe’s warm friendly approach has helped her students succeed in their careers and life goals.

Theatre includes: Peter Pan in Peter Pan, Mungojerrie & Skimbleshanks in Cats the Musical, Featured Vocalist in Harmony in the Capital, Actors Church, Covent Garden, Eugene in Grease, Ensemble/Gus in Saturday Night Fever, Dancer/Singer for Carnival and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Dancer & Assistant Dance Captain for P&O Cruise Lines, Dancer & Understudy Principal Soloist in AIDA.
Jon is an accredited ISTD teacher of ballet where he has taught ballet, MT, jazz and musical based workshops at different institutions whilst adjudicating around the country. Jon is extremely excited to be adjudicating and cannot wait to watch the talent of everyone performing.
